    Duchess Park Alumni Reunion is set for April 2-4, 2010. The Organizing Committee consists of grads from all years and is in the early stages of planning activities that will include a social event, alumni sports games, time capsule and creation of a financial legacy that will support student scholarships.     Friday March 26th - Northern Family Health Society will be hosting an Open House with a fundraiser for our FASD Resource Library and Mother’s Support Group. The Open House will take place from 11am – 3pm, at 2666 Queensway St. and will include a chili lunch for $5.00 or by donation. In addition to this, raffle tickets will be on sale for $2.00 each or 3 tickets for $5.00 for various prize baskets and items. Some of the prizes include: A room for two at Esther's Inn, a jacuzzi room for two at the Ramada Hotel, gift certificates for hydromassage at the Zen Garden, a $200 gift certificate for Uniglobe and a product basket from Sears. The open house will also include information booths from different service and resource providers around Prince George. Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is considered to be the most common form of preventable birth disorder in the Western world, with 9 out of every 1000 births affected by FASD. Northern Family Health Society is a non-profit organization that strives to bring support, education,advocacy, and health services to our community’s children and families whose lives have been affected by FASD.
