Officials in the Prince George Fire Centre are keeping an eye on activity in the forests.
Information Officer Joyce Poulin says the weather system that moved through the area last night sparked some new fires. 35 of the 37 fires in the past 24 hours were caused by lightning.
There have been 50 fire starts in the region since Monday, none of them of any significant size.
