Police are out with the identification team trying to locate the vandals who tore into a number of the parking meters along Victoria Street and Fourth Avenue,  and  smashed the heads off the meters.
It's just another example of the troubles that need to be dealt with in the downtown, according to newly-elected Councillor and president of the Downtown Business Improvement Association Shari Green. Green says it's ironic the vandalism happened about 24 hours after City Council opted to get rid of meters in the downtown.
