Low-income families are getting help from the province to reduce their energy costs and carbon footprint. The Government is investing 17 million in energy efficiency retrofits for low-income housing, keeping more money in the pockets of British Columbians. The funding is part of the 60 million, three-year LiveSmart BC: Efficiency Incentive program. The first 4 million dollar project will target the completion of almost 2-thousand evaluations and retrofits. The typical cost is approximately 2-thousand per house or residential unit.
