Northern Health and the North District RCMP are teaming up to raise awareness about new legislation pertaining to smoking in vehicles where children are present.
Team Leader Kerri McCaig says the new legislation will pay off in the long-term.
The penalty for smoking in a motor vehicle where anyone under the age of 16 is present is a 109 dollar fine.
