A UNBC student from Burns Lake has won a scholarship from the B.C. Cancer Agency to conduct molecular biology research this summer. Dustin King, a fourth-year Biochemistry and Molecular Biology student, will be investigating the way certain molecules create conditions conducive to the spread of cancer in the body. He'll be carrying out the research under UNBC Chemistry professor Chow Lee. The reserach is expected to be completed this summer, with results published in an academic journal this fall.
