The UNBC men's basketball team lived up to their number one ranking. The UNBC men's basketball team proved worthy of their number one ranking. The UNBC men's basketball team knocked off host SAIT in Calgary 96-63 earning their first national championship. The T-Wolves held a 42-22 lead at the half and had a 34 point lead at one point. Inderbir Gill was awarded the tournament MVP.
